Rohit Zaverii was born in 1949 at Palanpur in North Gujarat.
He studied painting at Faculty of Fine Arts, M. S. University of Baroda from 1966 to 1973, under Professor K. G. Subramanyan. He also showed keen interest in Mural, printmaking, Photography and Sculpture during study.
After study, he joined and worked as Textile Designer at Garden Silk Mills at Surat for a Short period.
From 1979 to 1999, he worked as Graphic Designer and kept himself away from painting.
Only in early 2000 he took painting seriously. |

He has eight one man shows and ten group shows to his credit in various places in India and Nepal.
He executed several Murals, Sculptures, Statues, Busts and Monumental huge sculptures at public places in Surat. He won several prize as student and two time winner of state Awards for Drawing & Painting and a National Award for Design.
He has participated in several state and national exhibitions.
He lives and works in Surat - South Gujarat. |
